Sunday Show Score Card
Welcome back to the Citizen Jane Politics' Sunday Show Scorecard, our weekly tally of which Sunday public affairs programs look like the men's grill at a golf club and which ones look like the American electorate, i.e. mostly women. The view from the couch this week was not pretty, Janes.  The good news is that the show we usually consider to be the most boysie of the boys' clubs had ladies coming out of its eyeballs. The bad news is that three other shows had zero women, while one show had one. Bookers-- you make it look so hard! Call CJP so that we can help you help us help you.
So without further delay, here are the winners, the losers and the I don't-even-want-to-know-you's of this week's shows...

First Place:Â
Meet the Press
Host David Gregory led off with House Speaker John Boehner and then moved on to interviews with Rep. Michele Bachmann, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and a panel with E.J. Dionne, a male columnist with a slightly girly name, and Republican play caller, Mike Murphy.
Score: Two ladies, two Janes. Congratulations, MTP!Â

Distant Second:Â CNN's
State of the Union
Of the six guests on CNN's State of the Union, five were men-- Paul Bremer, Gen. James Cartwright (Ret.), Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo., Sen. Robert Menendez (D- N.J.,), and Dir. of the President's National Economic Council Gene Sperling-- while foreign policy expert Robin Wright was the only woman. Even Candy Crowley was missing from the show this week. Candy, you, of course, deserve a vacation. But come back soon and bring some ladies with you.
Score:Â One woman, one Jane.

Second-to-last-place:Â Â
Face the Nation
Face the Nation's one and only guest this week was GOP front runner Newt Gingrich, but CBS's Bob Schieffer has escaped last place for two reasons. First, he only has half an hour to work with for now, and thus has less time to do the right thing and get women in his studio.   Second, he is an adorable grey-haired Texan and, therefore, will usually get preferential treatment here at CJP. But once you have an hour to work with, Mr. Schieffer, we will expect much more out of you.
Score:Â No women, no Janes.Â

Tied for Dead Last:Â
Fox News Sunday
Chris Wallace usually does so much better on Sunday mornings, but this week he delivered an all-male review of Mitt Romney, Bill Kristol, Evan Bayh, Ed Rollins and Juan Williams. If we had wanted to go to the St. Alban's 45th reunion, we would have bought a ticket.
Score:Â No women, No Janes.Â

Also Tied for Dead Last:Â Â
This Week with Christiane Amanapour
With a topic like the role of government in our lives, a title like "The Great American Debate," and a brilliant woman like Christiane Amanpour at the helm, we'd think someone could have remembered that women make up the
majority of the American workforce, a majority of the American electorate, and take the lead on nearly all household decisions related to money and budgeting.  Instead, we heard Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), George Will, Robert Reich, Rep. Barney Frank say something about Keynes, socialism, Darwin and Reagan. Next time we'd love a debate about the role of government in OUR lives.
No women, no Janes.Â

To the winners, and Mr. Bob Schieffer, congratulations! To everybody else, we didn't enjoy this any more than you did. But next week is another chance to win at the Sunday Show Scorecard.
