    Sunday Show Scorecard

    By KateH | March 16, 2009

It’s Monday which means it’s time for the Sunday Show Scorecard where we tell you which of our favorite Sunday shows are representing the Janes. Let’s see who has the Luck of the Irish this week!

    Tied for First Place

    Chris Matthews Show

tiny-jane.bmptiny-jane.bmpChris Matthews continued his winning streak this week with another panel including two women. CNBC’s Erin Burnett and the Washington Post’s Anne Kornblut joined  Newsweek’s Howard Fineman and the New York Times’ Andrew Ross-Sorkin for a discussion on President Obama and the economy. Two Janes for Chris!

    Meet the Press

tiny-jane.bmptiny-jane.bmpJoining Chris Matthews in first place this week is Meet the Press. With only two guests on this week, we were happy to see that one of them was a Jane. The President’s Council of Economic Advisors Chair Christina Romer was joined by Rep. Eric Cantor for the morning discussion. Half of your guests are Janes? We’ll give you two Janes for that!

    Second Place

tiny-jane.bmpChris Wallace and Fox News Sunday take our second place honors this week. With one in five guests being female, FNS gets points for trying. FDIC Chairman Sheila Blair, Moody’s Economy.com’s Mark Zandi, Rep. Barney Franks, Sen. Bob Corker and the President’s Council of Economic Advisors Austan Goolsbee joined Chris for the morning. FNS gets one Jane this week.

    Tied for Last Place

    Face the Nation

no-janes.jpgNo luck for us today since our Sunday boyfriend let us down this week. Bob Scheiffer hosted National Economic Council Director Lawrence Summers and the New York Times’ Thomas Friedman on this week’s Face the Nation. No ladies means no Janes.

    This Week

no-janes.jpgGeorge Stephanopoulos let us down this week as well, hosting only men on This Week. National Economic Council Director Lawrence Summers makes his second appearance on our scorecard and joins Sen. Micth McConnell for the show. We’re disappointed, George. One Jane for you.
