    Sunday Show Scorecard

    By KateH | February 23, 2009

Good morning, Janes! Yesterday was an exciting day for us! Bob Scheiffer, Chris Matthews and Hugh Jackman all in one day? “Slumdog Millionaire” reigned at the Oscars but let’s see who rules on our Sunday Show Scorecard. And the Jane goes to…

    First Place:

    Chris Matthews Show

tiny-jane.bmptiny-jane.bmpChris Matthews takes first place this week with his balanced panel. MSNBC’s Norah O’Donnell and CNN’s Gloria Borger joined New York Magazine’s John Heileman and the Washington Post’s Eugene Robinson for the morning’s debate. Two out of four earns CMS two Janes and a first place finish.

    Second Place:

    Meet the Press

tiny-jane.bmpMeet the Press takes our second place spot this week with two of five guests being ladies. NPR’s Michele Norris and CNBC’s Becky Quick were on hand along with Bloomberg News’ Al Hunt, Gov. Bobby Jindal and Gov. Charlie Crist to discuss the stimulus package. Not Bad, MTP. One Jane!

    Tied for Third Place:

    This Week

tiny-jane2.bmpGeorge Stephanopoulos hosted five guests on This Week including Business Week’s Suzy Welch. Also joining Suzy and George for the mornings discussion was Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, ABC’s George Will, the New York Times’ Paul Krugman and NYU economics professor Nouriel Roubini. One out five isn’t too bad but it only gets you a half a Jane this week.

    Fox News Sunday

tiny-jane2.bmpAlso in third place is Fox News Sunday, stepping it up from the last two weeks. Chris Wallace hosted a panel of four this week including one Jane, Gov. Jennifer Granholm.  Gov. Ed Rendell, Gov. Mark Sanford and Gov. Tim Pawlenty joined them for a discussion of the week’s hot topic…stimulus money. We’ll give FNS a half Jane for their effort.

    Last Place:

    Face the Nation

no-janes.jpgLike Kate Winslet last night, we’re a little teary eyed this morning. Our Sunday favorite, Face the Nation with Bob Scheiffer, let us down again. Bob had Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan, Gov. Jon Corzine, Gov. Mitch Daniels and Gov. Ted Strickland on to discuss Obama’s plan for the housing market. No ladies, no Janes.
