    Hey, what’s under that TARP?

    By CJP | January 30, 2009

If you feel like the Toxic Asset Relief Program, aka “the TARP”, aka the “bailout”, has been long on zeros and short on details, help is on the way.

The Treasury Department has begun posting the TARP contracts that the government signed with banks, AIG, GM and Chrysler on its web site as a part of President Obama’s promise to add transparency to the process.  Although the TARP still isn’t exactly see-through, you are welcome to feast your eyes on what Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan and others had to sign in order to get billions of dollars of taxpayer-sponsored relief.

Have a gander HERE, and if you can actually understand the documents, tell us what they say!

CJP,In this stimulus package there is no mention of extending unemployment benefits any further to those of us that about to exhust out “tier 2 ” benefits. Do you think our representives on the hill understand that come this April there will be millions more of Americans who will have exhasted ALL their benefits? Do you see any further extensions of unemployment benefits for those of us that are about to exhaust our benefits?
