    Election Day Morning Jane!

    voteHappy Election Day, Janes! We woke up today with all the excitement of kids on Christmas morning. After all, what's more exciting than getting to choose the next President, Senate, and House? We know you've got a big day ahead, so here's your Morning Jane to get started, and plenty of other good stuff as well: Top Story: Election Day
  • As the campaigns come to a close today, both candidates are still traveling, making a handful of strategic campaign stops in battleground states. [The Hill]
  • Despite the burst of negative publicity following his conviction, Ted Stevens doesn't show any signs of planning to drop out of the Senate race in Alaska. [Politico]
  • A report released last night clears Sarah Palin of any wrongdoing in the firing of a state trooper. [NYT]
  • The first votes have been cast as polls open on the East coast and in the Midwest, but experts say they expect the day to be punctuated with delays and technical difficulties, as well as record turnout numbers. [Washington Post]
  • Stocks are expected to do well today as America votes, too. Futures are already climbing. [MarketWatch]

      CJP on CNN!! I was in Rome, watching CNN on a huge outdoor screen, and like a distant cousin, there’s PM in Sarah Palin red! The Roman’s are even happier than the Americans, seems Europe is practically one big Blue State.
