    The 411 on Voting: WHEN

    Ladies, here are your poll hours in all 50 states, plus links to each state’s website for additional information:

    Alabama:  7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

    Alaska:  7 a.m. - 8 p.m.

    Arizona:  6 a.m. - 7 p.m.

    Arkansas:  7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

    California: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    Colorado:  7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    Connecticut: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    Delaware: 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    D.C.:  7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    Florida:  7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

    Georgia: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

    Hawaii:  7 a.m. - 6 p.m.

    Idaho: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

    Illinois: 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.

    Indiana:  6 a.m. - 6 p.m.

    Iowa:  7 a.m. - 9 p.m.

    Kansas:  Polls open at different times, but must all stay open for 12 hours.  Click on Kansas to find out more…

    Kentucky:  6 a.m. - 6 p.m.

    Louisiana:  6 a.m. - 8 p.m.

    Maine:  Polls open no earlier than 6 a.m., and close no later than 8 p.m..  Check out your town through the Maine website.

    Maryland:  7 a.m. - 8 p.m.

    Massachusetts: 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. although some polls may open as early as 5:45 — check with your city or town clerk.

    Michigan: 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.

    Minnesota: polls open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., but voting starts at 10 a.m. in some places– check the Minnesota website for your town.

    Mississippi: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    Missouri: 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    Montana: Most polls open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; some smaller polls aren’t open until noon, however — check the MT website for your county.

    Nebraska: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Central Time Zone and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Mountain Time Zone.

    Nevada: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    New Hampshire: 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

    New Jersey: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    New Mexico: opening times vary by county, polls close at 7 p.m.

    New York: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

    North Carolina: 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

    North Dakota: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. CST.

    Ohio: 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

    Oklahoma: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    Pennsylvania: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    Rhode Island: Opening times vary; check RI website for your town. All polls close at 9 p.m.

    South Carolina: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    South Dakota
    : 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    Tennessee: varies by county — check Tennessee website to find your county.

    Texas: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    Utah: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    Vermont: Opening times vary by county but all polls close at 7 p.m. Check Vermont website for your county’s opening time.

    Virginia: 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    Washington: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    West Virginia: 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

    Wisconsin: Opening times vary by county; all polls close at 8 p.m.

    Wyoming: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

      FYI - this is great but you forgot a state - the great nutmeg state - Connecticut.
