The 411 on Voting tomorrow: WHAT

    By CJP | November 3, 2008

You're definitely voting for president, Congress and all of your local elected officials.  But how do you feel about gay marriage?  Or stem cell research?  Or paying for schools with slot machines at Jiffy Marts?   If you've never thought about those issues, now may be the time. Before you head out to vote for your favorite people, do make sure you're ready to vote on your favorite (or least favorite) issues in the form of ballot initiatives.  These are the let-the-people decide measures that have a way of being both controversial AND complicated at the same time, so a little prep work will go a long way. For example, Colorado Janes, have 34 decisions to make through ballot initiatives, including whether Colorado should continue to have so many ballot initiatives.  Sound confusing?  It sort of is. How can you make it simpler?  Try this: Head over to Stateline.org's ridiculously easy map that gives a state-by-state breakdown of every decision ballot initiative that voters will decide tomorrow.  Maryland?  That's slots.  California? Gay marriage, among many others.  Your state?   Click on the map to find out, and get ready to vote.   Next up:  WHERE to vote.
