    “How to win a town hall debate,” by Bill Clinton

    When people suggest that John McCain needs to "connect" with voters on economic issues during tonight's town hall debate in Nashville, here's what they are talking about: The famous "I feel your pain" moment. Observe the 1992 debate when President George H.W. Bush is asked how he would improve the flagging American economy. He responds that he would "stimulate the export," and do a host of other things to get the economy going again. And then Bill Clinton does this:
