Sometimes it feels like the vice presidential name game is like each campaign throwing bones to a hungry pack of dingos.
So in today's dispatch from the dingo feeding, we've got two new names: Chet Edwards for the Dems and Eric Cantor for the GOP. We're not going to go into great detail on these two, because who has the time? BUT we will give you a just-the-facts ma'am treatment so that in the unlikely event they do end up on a ticket, you can remember where you heard about them first...
Chet Edwards
Edwards has represented the Waco, Texas, area in Congress for 18 years;
He went to Texas A&M, worked for Congressman Tiger Teague on Capitol Hill, lost a bid for Congress, and then got his MBA from Harvard;
He has worked in commercial real estate, run several rural radio stations and served in the Texas State Senate;
He is George Bush's congressman in Crawford, TX. Yee haw!
