On Friday, "The Washington Times" told CJP exclusively that its story calling the Michelle Obama/ Jennifer Granholm event "an estrogenfest" was well told, but the language was "too breezy."
And the Janes agreed. In what we consider the final word on this issue, here's what the Janes said in the latest CJP poll when we asked if the article was more foot-in-mouth or tongue-in cheek:
- 51%: It's offensive. Why read about the Dark Ages when we still live in them?
- 31%: I'm torn. I don't love it, but I'll save my outrage for women who need it.
- 18%: It's cheeky! A political article about a town hall meeting needs a little sass.
So there you go. The next time we read about a "girlie show," we assume it will be about Dita von Teese.
