Now that the primaries are over, #2 is the #1 topic in D.C.. Will Obama and McCain fashion a Dream Ticket, a nightmare scenario or give us a ho-hum "who's that?" leaving us drowsy?
CJP has been keeping tabs on the ticket builders to help the Janes keep them straight, and here's what we've got so far...
For McCain:
- We met Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty;
- We introduced former Hewlett-Packard CEO and current McCain surrogate, Carly Fiorina;
- We talked about former Ebay CEO Meg Whitman. She may have supported Mitt Romney during the primaries, but she's a McCainiac now.
For Obama:
- We put Senator Jim Webb of Virginia's hat in the ring, even though he just took it out;
- We met Kansas governor, Kathleen Sebelius;
- And we've been discussing a candidate named "Hillary Clinton" since the beginning. (To prove life was simpler then, oil hit $100/ barrel on the day of the Iowa caucuses. It's almost quaint, isn't it?)
That's our coverage of the veepstakes so far, but we're just getting started, so stay tuned for the continuing scoop on the sidekicks...
