Fact-Check Friday: McCain, the Dems and Huck’s Squirrel Soup

Welcome back to Fact-Check Friday, our weekly trip around the Internet’s best fact-checking sites designed to sort fact from fiction. Now onto our Tour of Truth!

Here are the three fibs we’ve heard going around right now that we’ve heard the most:

• John McCain wants to leave troops in Iraq for 100 years. We’ve heard this accusation from both Democratic candidates and have been wondering if this was true. FactCheck.org calls it a serious distortion. McCain discussed troop levels at a January event in New Hampshire. His exact quote was, “We’ve been in Japan for 60 years. We’ve been in South Korea for 50 years or so. That (100 years) would be fine with me, as long as American, as long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed.”
• Barack Obama has won the most states and the most votes. The “Washington Post’s” Fact-Checker says that’s half true. You may remember that the DNC stripped Florida and Michigan of their convention delegates because the states broke the primary calendar rules. But because their delegates could be seated, and because Hillary Clinton won both Michigan and Florida, it’s too soon to count them out. Clinton is ahead when you count Florida and Michigan, but Obama is ahead without those states.
• Mike Huckabee used to cook squirrel in a popcorn popper during college. OK, PolitiFact says that one is completely true.

   The only fair,just & equatable way to deal with the Michigan and Florida delegates if they are to be included in the event some sort of tie breaking endeavor is quite simple. CLINTON Must be DQ’d. Would NASCAR allow unsanctioned Race results to count? Would Major League or even Little League Baseball allow World Series playoff results to stand in favor of a victor who Blantantly defied the League Rules in the process?
   1) Michigan delegates go to Obama because Clinton’s defiance of her parties instructions.
   2) Florida Delegates all go to Obama for the same basic reason. Clinton recieved an unfair avantage as she was the only one campaigning in direct defiance of her Party again. Plus Florida Democratic state officials defied the DNC by conducting the primary at a time not sanctioned by the DNC.
   Ask your self, what would the NFL do with the results of the Super Bowl if Only one Team showed up.. But the fans wanted the score to have some meaning. I believe the team guilty of disobediance would be Disqualified.
   What would the PGA or LPGA do if the apparent winner of a Tournament broke the rules but wanted the results to Stand against the 2nd place finisher??
   Sorry, this time Clinton Dishonesty is really going to have a price to pay. Good Bye and Good Riddin’s.
   I wonder if she would be nodding and bobbing her Bleach Blond head with every word of this now??
   Poor Pittyful thing wouldn’t have ever even been a Senator if she wasn’t Bill’s girl.
