Barack Obama came to South Carolina, he all saw the truly ugly side of politics, and he conquered anyway. By doubling African American turn-out, winning half of white voters under 30-years-old, and pulling in independents, the Illinois senator ran away with the Palmetto State's Democratic primary. Here are the final tallies:
- Barack Obama- 55%
- Hillary Clinton- 27%
- John Edwards- 18%, bless his heart.
Obama and Edwards spoke to supporters in Columbia tonight, while Senator Clinton left the state to campaign in Tennessee, one of the 22 states up for grabs on February 5th's Super Tuesday. The drama will only heat up, Janes! Stay tuned.....[CNN]
