- The Republicans continue to scrap as the South Carolina primary comes down to the wire. In Lexington, S.C., the issues for voters at a recent Fred Thompson event were the economy, immigration, and according to "The State" newspaper, "which church you attend and who’s your kin on this side of the Saluda River." - A Mason-Dixon poll shows Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney with comfortable leads going into tomorrow's Nevada caucuses, but even the pollsters admit they had a hard time finding 500 likely caucus-goers to survey. A political scientist warns of the numbers, "Buyer beware." [Review-Journal]
