Five Ways to Court a “Glamour” Girl

    By CJP | January 17, 2008

feb-glamour.jpg We let you know about “Glamour” magazine’s new blog, Glamocracy, when we interviewed Glamour’s news editor, Ellen Kampinsky last month.

We’ve been cruising through Glamocracy lately and found the series of submissions from candidates to pique our interest. So far, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Barack Obama, Mitt Romney and John Edwards have written in to the Glamour girls, and their submissions are a fascinating combination of relatively predictable pandering from one candidate (sorry, Glamour!) to a revealing essay from another on how traveling with his 20-something daughter helps him, “keep it real,” to one contender who says his wife, “radiates beauty, strength and integrity.” That may be a pander too, but CJP falls for that kind of stuff every time!

Maybe its just us, but it almost seems like the effort campaigns put into the exercise is roughly analogous to how important they feel a young woman’s vote is to winning the election. So check it out, read between the lines and form your own opinions. [Glamocracy]
