Happy Holidays, Vote for Me!

Janes, in the latest edition of “Happy Holidays, Vote for Me,” we’re thrilled to bring you holiday videos from several of the contenders, with Rudy Giuliani’s red sweater vest nowhere in sight. It’s easy to dismiss these as holiday fluff, but each one has been carefully crafted to leave a final impression with voters before they tune out for the rest of the year. Take a look….

• Barack Obama features his wife, Michelle, and their two very cute daughters, reminding us that “the things that unite us as a people are more powerful and enduring than anything that sets us apart.” [Obama Family]

• John Edwards gives a direct pledge to homeless veterans and people struggling that they have not been forgotten during the holiday season. [John Edwards]

• Ron Paul wears a red flannel shirt as his family sings “Deck the Halls”, but we get to see his wife, Carol, so we have no complaints! [Ron Paul]

• In her ad, Hillary Clinton wraps presents by herself with none of her family around, but isn’t that what moms do on Christmas Eve? Instead of socks or games, she’s wrapping universal health care and pre-K. [Hillary Clinton]

• Finally, Mitt Romney has yet to surface with a Christmas video, but we did find this footage from his family’s Christmas in 2006 at some sort of beautiful family ski lodge. Prepare to wish you had your very own beautiful family ski lodge, but maybe with his tax cut plans, you’ll get there eventually. [Romney Family Christmas]
