    By CJP | December 10, 2007

sunrise.jpg Thank God it’s Monday, Janes! This week is a new dawn, a new day, a clean slate, a fresh opportunity to get to Friday and say, “Wow, that was the best week of my life!” And how should you start the best week of your life? I think you know. Get ready to be the smartest positive thinker in group therapy:

    Top Domestic Story: Campaign ‘08

    • Rudy Giuliani got spanked on Meet the Press yesterday, and not in the way he might have liked. [NY Daily News] [NBC News]
    • Six of the Republican hopefuls participated in a Florida debate sponsored by Univision, where the questions came in Spanish and 85 percent of the questions dealt with immigration. According to the Miami Herald, it amounted to “soft pedaling hard stances.” [The Miami Herald]
    • So how did Oprah do on the campaign trail? Not only did she get a crowd of 29,000 screaming fans in Columbia, S.C., she broke a world record. (You go, O!) A rep from the Guinness Book of World Records, who just happened to attend, said the 36,000+ phone-banking sheets that the Obama campaign handed out may have broken the coveted world record for…..handing out phone-banking sheets. [The State]

Will there be another government shut-down? Our Magic 8-Ball, as well as the Office of Management and Budget, say “Signs Point to Yes.” [The Hill]

For all the man-Janes out there….has your date ever disappeared to the restroom and never come back? You probably thought to yourself, “There’s nothing wrong with me. I bet the door handle broke.” You could have been right! A man in Scotland got stuck in the loo at a bowling alley for FOUR days. [BBC]
